Diamond Valley Election

Dale Harrison — Council Candidate. I recently retired as CAO of Longview, a position held for the past five years.

Cindy Holladay — Candidate for Council. I have served on Turner Valley Council for the last five years and have been a resident for 10 years.

Brendan Kelly — Council Candidate. Husband and father to my son and daughter. Teacher for 12 years and counting.

Veronica Kloiber — Council Candidate. Veronica Kloiber has been an elected official with the Town of Black Diamond since 2017.

Hazel Martin — Council Candidate. I am passionate about our small towns and have enjoyed raising our family here.

Heather Thomson — Council Candidate. I am a long-time resident of the region having lived in Foothills County (MD), Turner Valley and for the last 26 years in Black Diamond.

Barry Williamson — Candidate for Council Married with three adult children. My experience covers 10 years as a councillor and four years as a Chief Administrative Officer. Our family have been residents of this community for 25 years.

During a candidates forum ahead of the Diamond Valley election, accountability and transparency came up, with some council hopefuls saying public engagement is an important part of the process.

Advance voting for the Diamond Valley election is today from 1 to 8 p.m. in Turner Valley and Black Diamond.
