Heather Thomson — Council Candidate
I am a long-time resident of the region having lived in Foothills County (MD), Turner Valley and for the last 26 years in Black Diamond. I raised my three amazing children here, all graduated from Oilfields High School, and continue to live, work, and play in the area with my beautiful grandchildren!
Currently I am serving as a Council member for the Town of Black Diamond. I was employed for 10 years as the legislative services manager and several times acted as the Interim Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Turner Valley.
This new Council will have a lot of work ahead of them to ensure we move into the future in a fiscally responsible and sustainable way. My goal is to help to ensure as smooth transition as possible into the Town of Diamond Valley, and that my years of public and political experience will help with this transition.
It would be an honour to represent both the residents of the communities of Black Diamond and Turner Valley as a member of the Town Council of Diamond Valley.
