Recently, the premier of Quebec, Pauline Marois, and the National assembly have brought forth proposed legislation entitled The Quebec Charter of Values.

I was caught at a weak moment and I thought it could possibly the most painful decision of my life. Last spring I made a bold offer; an offer I really believed had little chance of coming to fruition.

Joyce and I are back from our cruise on the St. Lawrence to see the fall colours. We were two weeks too early and the poplars in my neighbourhood are putting on the best show of colour I’ve seen for two weeks. East West Home’s Best.

Twenty-five years ago this week our country was in turmoil. There was only one thing we wanted to hear about on the news and there was only one thing we discussed at the coffee shop.

More than a month ago we started packing for a move to our new home and in the process we purged.

The Okotoks and District Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an election forum at the Foothills Community Centre on Oct. 8. Doors open at 6 p.m. The two mayor candidates along with all councillor hopefuls will be in attendance.

Well the next month will be busy as many area residents vie for positions on a variety of councils and boards.

I am sitting here unshowered, unshaven, disheveled and certainly discombobulated. We are in what is hopefully the final week of living in a trailer and after five weeks I do not think I could last another day.
