It seemed simple enough. Sell our house and move into a trailer for five weeks until our new house is ready. In hindsight, simple is a relative term.

Well the Labour Day long weekend is behind us and the kids are back to school. It has been an odd summer with lots of rain early on and of course now that September has rolled around we are going to have near record temperatures and lots of sunshine.

The Sheep Creek Arts Council is preparing for the fall 2013 series of classes. Registration for classes is possible in three ways: in person, on Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Activities will be getting back on track in September: Whist resumes on Sept. 10, euchre on Sept. 9 and floor curling, either Sept. 9 or 16, whenever Dave gets thing rolling. Check out the line-up of activities at the Sheep River Library.

Can you believe in less than eight weeks we will be at the polls electing new town councils, school boards and MD councils. The term of office for the newly elected councils will be four years this time.

It was the most stressful and exhausting summer I have ever had, but interning at the Western Wheel was the best learning experience I could have hoped for. For the first time in my life I felt needed at work.
