Okotoks Museum & Archives museum specialist Kathy Coutts is putting a call out for electronic submissions that tell stories of how people in the Okotoks area are faring during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since closing their doors in light of the COVID-19 pandemic two months ago, staff at the Okotoks Museum & Archives and Okotoks Art Gallery has been posting their exhibits online to ensure people can still enjoy them.

The Leighton Art Centre's Juried Members Show virtual exhibition had more than 2,000 online views on its opening weekend April 25-26.

Sheldon Zandboer will return to Okotoks to play a wide selection of tunes on the community piano May 20 from noon to 1 p.m. in a live Facebook concert.

With her computer set up for recording and twinkle lights in the background, 19-year-old country pop singer Brettyn Rose is set to perform for the RPAC@Home Concert Series tonight at 7 p.m.

Vick Maan, creator of Freestyle Friday, will stream the open mic event weekly on Zoom starting tonight at 8 p.m.

Concert series will be brought to Okotoks area homes every second Wednesday.

Vick Maan was elected as president of the Okotoks Arts Council in late February, taking the reins from Dale Fea to lead in creating and maintaining a vibrant arts culture while fostering collaborative friendships across the Foothills.

Kyle Rozendal said he was doing well in the reality television show before he was told to leave. A press release from Big Brother Canada states Rozendal and another contestant were sent home due to "behaviour which is not tolerated in the Big Brother house." The show ended production March 24 in light of developments in Ontario on the fight against COVID-19.

Chantal Beaulne worked as a storyboard revisionist on the action-adventure series Carmen Sandiego for its first two seasons.
