A large fire burning on the border of the MD of Foothills and Kananaskis has been brought under control and evacuated residents are allowed to return home. Sometime after 4 p.m.

Firefighters are starting to get the upper hand on a large fire on the border between the MD of Foothills and Kananaskis, but it is not yet under control. Sometime after 4 p.m.

Firefighters continue to battle a grassfire just east of the Okotoks overpass. Okotoks Fire Chief Ken Thevenot said the fire was set accidentally.
