February 16, 1940 – September 14, 2020

Bill Brogden passed away suddenly on Monday September 14, 2020 at the age of 80 years old.

Bill was born and raised in the Priddis area where he spent most his life farming. He grew up in the era of walking 3 miles to and from school when it was too cold to ride a horse. After he finished school Bill spent time road building and met the love of his life, Janet. Together they raised their three children on the family farm and Bill continued farming well into his later years before he moved to operating his dozer. Bill enjoyed camping, was a proud Flames and Stampeders fan for many years and loved spending time with family especially around his fire pit. Bill was proud to say he hadn’t missed a Stampede and was affectionately known as Bull Dozer Bill.

Bill and Janet would jump in the car and just drive, not knowing where they would end up. Many family and friends received surprise visits from them as they explored many States and Western Canada. One of Bill’s favorite destinations was the Big Island in Hawaii though he made many trips to Vegas.

Bill was a very quiet man who usually appeared shy, until he got to know you, and then his sense of humour would appear. Bill’s smirk and gleam in his eyes will be dearly missed.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Janet, children John (Bev), Kathy, Tammy (Ian) and grandchildren Vicki, David, Dallas, Ryden, Connor, Shaelynn and Brianne. Bill was predeceased by his parents Gladys and Stirling, brother Arnold and son-in law Dean. Bill will be forever remembered and loved by all his family and friends.

A private family memorial will be held to remember Bill.

The family would like to thank the staff in Foothills Hospital Cardiac ICU and STARS for their kind care.

In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to STARS Air Ambulance.
