December 17, 1963 – June 9, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce that Kelly Patricia Body (O’Bryan), dear wife, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on June 9, 2021 at the age of 57.

She was born December 17, 1963 in Calgary Alberta to Hugh and Gwen (Henry) O’Bryan (both predeceased).

She was a passionate and loyal person who put all her energy into the things that meant the most to her which was family, friends, and her pets! She was funny and made friends easily. Kelly’s focus was always on helping others. She would always volunteer to help anyone who needed it. It is no surprise that she was considered as a second mother to some! She was a pet lover, always finding and taking in new strays that needed a home. Even while Kelly was confronting the challenge of her Crohn’s disease, she was always upbeat and never wanted the focus on her.

Kelly is survived by Tony, her husband of 27 years. They met in the year 1991 and soon after Kelly moved to Australia where they were married and made their home for 5 years. They lived in New Zealand for 2 years and then made their way through the states back to Calgary… staying in Canada. She is survived by her siblings: Corry Ross (Terry), Maureen O’Bryan (John), Wally O’Bryan (Jackie); sister-in-law Diana O’Bryan; her nephews: Zachary, Nathan, Matthew, Elliott; her niece Karsen and greatniece Parks.

She was predeceased by her brother Bill (2012). She is also survived by her Australian family: mother-in-law, Joy Quick; sister-in-law, Julianne Williams; brother-in-law, Phillip Body; and dear friend, Cathy MacLeod.

The world will be a lesser place without her love, laughter, and big heart! She truly lived life to the fullest! Our love to Kelly! She will be dearly missed! For those of us who knew Kelly, we will now get a word in!!!

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, https:// crohnsandcolitis.ca/ or Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) https://aarcs.ca/

Due to Covid restrictions, a Celebration of Kelly’s Life will be held at a later date.

Photos, memories, and condolences may be shared with Kelly’s family through www.simplycremations.ca.
