Drew passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Okotoks, Alberta with his loving family at his side.
He leaves behind his wife Dini of 69 years, daughters Janet (David Smart), Margaret deVries, Judith deVries and sons, Richard (Debbie), John (Nancy) as well as 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Drew, along with is brother John ran a successful construction company (deVries Brothers) in Calgary for many years. Semi-retiring to Okotoks, he ran the Aldersyde PetroCan for 30 years and with his sons Richard and John, started a sand and gravel business (deVries Bros) that is still in operation.
Finally, retiring and purchasing a motorhome, Drew and Dini shared wonderful trips across Canada with friends and heading South in the winter for some sun and golf. Still Drew’s favorite times were when the family all gathered to celebrate different occasions at the river and of course, large Christmas gatherings.
A celebration, with family only, of Drew’s life will be held at a later time.
