Carole Williamson, passed away
peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022,
at Rising Sun Care in Black Diamond,
AB, at the age of 79 years. She required
support from the medical community
near the end, but she left on her terms.
The family thanks the many health
care workers who supported this
journey, we are lucky to have you in
our community.

Carole was born in Edmonton, AB, on
December 7, 1942, to Gladys and Harold
Williamson. She graduated from nursing
school but travelled south to work in
corporate Calgary. She then moved to
Kamloops with Jack Davidson, was an
executive assistant for the school board,
a sign language interpreter, and she
complained often that it was just “too
hot”. Fortunately, they had a nice home
and a boat on the river, she learned to
water ski and scuba dive to help cool
things down. Carole semi-retired and
came back to Alberta to be closer to her
family. She was a member of the Bragg
Creek Seniors, Ladies Auxiliary, worked
part-time at the ATB branch and with
the family at Elkana Ranch. The flood
of 2013 was the impetus for the Black
Diamond move, where she found a rich
network of friends whom she loved.

Carole lives on in the memories of
her nieces and nephews, Rick (Lori)
Atkinson, Kim Atkinson, Joyce Atkinson,
Roxanne (Paul) Tabler, Michele
McDonald, Kent (Luree) Williamson and
their families. She was predeceased
by her brother Hector, sister Doreen
and nephew Fane.

A Celebration of Carole’s Life, one
of plentiful and lasting friends, will
be held at the Snowbirds Chalet, (19
Balsam Avenue, Bragg Creek, AB)
on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
