Much loved husband of Blanca Botero and father of Daniel (Kay) and Elise (Jeff), grandfather of Charli, Kamora, and Tristan, Arturo passed away suddenly on September 14, 2020. He is survived by his wife Blanca Botero, mother Cecilia, and siblings Humberto, Maria Eugenia, and Gloria Elena of Bogota, Colombia as well as mother-in-law Teresa Fuentes of Black Diamond, AB.
Arturo and Blanca raised their family in the beautiful country near Longview, AB. He worked as a Project Manager in the oil and gas industry in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ecuador, Colombia, Libya, Venezuela and Mexico. Arturo was proud of his contributions to the oil and gas industry, always striving for excellence. After his retirement he explored other energy sources such as geothermal and solar power, which he installed on his property.
Arturo dearly loved his grandchildren, his dogs, cats and the wildlife that often turned up on the property. He fully appreciated his good neighbours of many years and the community of which he was a part. Following Arturo’s wishes no funeral will be held. Forever loved, husband, dad, grandpa.
