Alexander (Sandy) Straton Bruce

25th descendant of the Bruce clan with the
middle name Straton. One of 8 children of
Jean and David Bruce. He was Education
in Grand Prairie, Edmonton and the Alberta
college of Art. Alberta was his home.

1980 Brushstrokes opens in Okotoks, AB - the
start of his true legacy. Sandy was forced to
close Brushstrokes Custom Sign Shop after
29 years of business and leaving multiple
marks on this world with his creative work.

Sandy was a remarkable individual who left
an enduring mark on the lives of all those
who knew him. He was married to Barb for
38 years and together they had sons: Andrew
(Melanie), Aaron (Christine). He was the
proud grandfather to three granddaughters:
Adaline, Wren & Kinsley. A true family man.

He will be deeply missed by all of his siblings.
Ian, Rob (Dee), Don (Barb), Chris (Alyn), Deb
(Dave), Neil, Nigel, his many nieces, nephews,
great nieces, great nephews and extended
family and friends.

Sandy, Dad, Grandpa will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held on
October 7th, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Snodgrass
Funeral Chapel, Okotoks. (200 Woodgate
Road). Burial to follow at Okotoks Union
Cemetery.
