With heavy hearts, the family of Al Kunz announce his passing on the evening of 27 August 2020. Al was born in Poland on 24 September 1943 to Rudolf and Luise Kunz, their youngest child and only son. He came to Canada in 1952 and in 1978 he established Kunz Construction Ltd. and The Kunz Group Inc. thereafter. 

Al is survived by his loving wife, Bev Broadhurst Kunz and his children James (Cindy), Robert, daughter-in-law Cory, Kenneth, and Anna (Kenneth) Coreman, step-children Tracy (David) Shierman, and Trevor (Renee) Broadhurst. Also survived by seven granddaughters, one
grandson-in-law, two step granddaughters, three step grandsons, a step great granddaughter, and a step great grandson. Al is also survived by sister Hilda, cousins, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law Gus Schwab,
sisters-in-law Kathy (Morris) Gustafson, Cherryl (Wayne) Bourdon, and Eileen (Bill) Williams. Predeceased by his parents Rudolf and Luise, sisters Ella, Irma, and Bertha, and baby granddaughter Julieanna Faith. Also predeceased by the mother of his children Beverley Kunz. The Family wishes to thank Dr. Friesen, the nurses and other staff members who cared for Al with love and dignity.

 Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a private family service at 11:00 on Saturday, 5 September 2020. A public viewing will be from 1 to 3 PM for anyone who wishes to say goodbye to Al.
