Some young Stingrays were shining at the Black and Blue swim meet on the Okotoks. The Okotoks Stingrays hosted more than 300 swimmers from across Alberta for the annual Black and Blue meet on Saturday and Sunday at the Okotoks Recreation Centre pool.

An Okotoks curler truly had a Super Sunday on the weekend. The Deb Miller rink won its second straight Foothills Triple Crown on the strength of a victory at the Okotoks Ladies Bonspiel Sunday at the Okotoks Curling Club.

An Okotoks curler will be getting another shot at a national title. Shannon Kleibrink earned a spot in the national Scotties Canadian Women’s Curling Championships, beginning Feb. 19 in Charlottetown, PEI by winning the Alberta Scotties title Jan.

The next Foothills Triple Crown men’s winner will be decided in Okotoks.
