The Foothills’ landfill has had several names over the years, but it’s new title recognizes its ever-evolving purpose. The facility was recently renamed the Foothills Regional Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre to suit its changing identity.

The MD of Foothills will not be changing its name in the near future. MD council voted last week to keep the municipality’s official name, the Municipal District of Foothills No. 31 after months of debate.
