A convenience store in High River has closed its doors after an employee was found to have COVID-19.
A sign posted on the High River 7-Eleven has said it is closed until April 25 as it cleans the store after confirming an employee has COVID-19.
"We have a team member with a confirmed case of COVID-19 at this store," a sign posted at the 7-Eleven on the corner of 1 St. and 3 Ave. SW. "We have temporarily closed the store to thoroughly clean and sanitize the location.
"We are asking staff to self-isolate with pay for 14 days per provincial health guidelines."
The store has asked anyone who has been in the store from March 29 to April 10 to take the Alberta self-assessment at www.ahs.ca/covid
The store stressed employee and public health is its top priority.
The geospatial index on the provincial website showed on April 13 the Foothills County region, which includes Okotoks and High River, has 67 cases of COVID-19, eight of which are recoveries.
There were 1,651 confirmed cases in Alberta as of the morning of April 13, according to the website.
