A concert this weekend in Okotoks will help a terminally ill teen fill his bucket list.

In an effort to help the Byerley family, whose son Kolton has been diagnosed with cancer, a fundraising concert is being held on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. at the Okotoks Elks Hall.

As the family looks to spend as much time with their son as possible, community members are coming together to help make that happen.

“All the money goes straight to them in hopes that they can live Kolton's bucket list,” said Sandy Grunleitner, an Okotoks mom who is organizing the concert.

Queued up for the evening is Grunleitner’s son Dave and his musical persona Vicarious Vandalism, joined by Gratuitous, originating from High River, and Okotoks singer/songwriter Michela Sheedy.

The event will also feature a silent auction, and Grunleitner is welcoming items for the auction through a Facebook page she set up for the event under Fill Kolton’s Bucket Fundraiser Gig.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at EventBrite.ca under ‘Fill Koltons Bucket Fundraiser’.
