Northbound traffic on Highway 2 is facing delays after a semi caught on fire this morning.
Officials responded to calls of a semi-trailer in flames about two kilometres north of 338 Avenue on Highway 2 just after 10 a.m. Thursday.
As of 10:45 a.m., the fire had been extinguished, although traffic on the highway is reduced to one lane, causing significant back-ups.
RCMP said lane closures will affect traffic for a few hours, although a second lane on the three-lane highway will be opened as soon as possible.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
