Seniors across the High Country are getting a sweet deal this week.

Residents of the High Country Lodge in Black Diamond received a curbside delivery of sweets on June 3 in honour of Seniors' Week, which runs June 1-7.

The delivery was made by Black Diamond Mayor Ruth Goodwin and Turner Valley Mayor Barry Crane in an initiative spearheaded by both town's Family and Community Support Services.

To honour all seniors in the High Country, the Tim Hortons restaurant in Black Diamond is offering seniors a free cookie and coffee at its drive thru Friday, June 5 from 8 a.m. to noon. The three Tim Hortons locations in Okotoks are also offering free cookies and coffee or tea to seniors during the aforementioned hours.
