STARS responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 546, west of Turner Valley and east of the Kananaskis entrance on Monday afternoon.

Foothills RCMP Cpl. Ryan Eckersley said the call came in just before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25. The lone occupant, a middle-aged female, was transported to hospital by STARS in serious condition.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor, said Eckersley, and an immediate-roadside suspension was issued to the driver.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The highway was closed for approximately one hour for STARS to attend. Road and weather conditions at the time of the accident were good and are not considered contributing factors to the crash.
