Mountie Moments: Stolen Diamond Valley vehicle recovered in Calgary

As more fraud reports are received, Turner Valley RCMP urge residents to never give out passwords, banking information or social insurance numbers.

The Turner Valley RCMP provided this synopsis of criminal activity throughout Foothills County over the past couple of weeks:

* Two more impaired drivers were removed from local highways with immediate roadside suspensions of their driver’s licences and their vehicles towed.

* There was a theft of a vehicle in Diamond Valley through the night. The vehicle was recovered in Calgary the next day.

* There were two more break-and-enters reported in the eastern portion of Foothills County. Neighbours, please be vigilant for each other.

* More fraud was reported. Please never give out passwords, banking information or social insurance numbers. There is a phone number on the back of all credit and debit cards. If you are unsure if the scammers are real, hang up and dial the number on the back of the card. The financial institution employees are more than happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have about your account. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca) also has valuable information.
