Just over two weeks of acoustic leak detection will be happening in Diamond Valley starting Monday.

Leak detection company Hetek Solutions has been contracted to inspect the Black Diamond area's water distribution system for any possible leaks.

The detection work is happening between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. from April 22 to May 7.

Residents are encouraged to operate laundry machines, dishwashers and showers in the daytime to minimize water usage during the inspections, and to turn off water softeners at night.

Hetek's method, acoustic leak detection, is completely silent and involves using listening equipment to detect underground leaks.
