Firefighters from Turner Valley and Black Diamond were quick to respond to a fire west of Turner Valley Saturday afternoon.
The call came in around 3 p.m. April 17 of a grass fire on an acreage north of Secondary Highway 546.
When crews arrived, they found a fire burning across approximately three acres of farm field, said Turner Valley fire captain Gerry Rooke.
Working in unison with the landowner and neighbours, who brought tractors to create fire breaks, the situation was under control by 4:30 p.m.
No residences were endangered, but some farm equipment and materials were damaged by the flames.
As of publication time no cause has been determined.
