Light-Up Diamond Valley ushered in the holiday season Saturday night.
This annual event marked the start of the holiday shopping season in the Town of Diamond Valley as many businesses along Government Road and Centre Avenue opened their doors to welcome residents with treats, surprises and unique holiday shopping experiences.
Light-Up included a range of activities, including horse-drawn wagon rides and visits with Santa at Fuel in the Sheep River Centre.
Over 30 local businesses showcased their holiday specials and presented free offerings such as s'mores and marshmallow roasting on outdoor fire pits, hot beverages, hot dogs, snacks and treats, draws with prizes, a candy cane making demonstration, a live nativity scene presentation, a holiday movie night and an array of samples and shopping specials.
