There are several opportunities to get on the ice for Family Day weekend in High Country.
The Town of Diamond Valley is holding a free afternoon of skating at the Oilfields Regional Arena and Scott Seaman Sports Rink on Family Day, Monday, Feb. 19, from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Inside the arena, the public is invited to glide along the ice with no pucks or sticks allowed while the outdoor rink will feature family-friendly shinny action.
Additionally, all month long the Town is hosting free skating on Sunday afternoons, as sponsored by Pharmasave.
The free skate portion runs from 12:30-1:30 p.m. inside the arena with shinny offered from 1:40-2:40 p.m. on the outdoor rink and another round of open skate from 2:55-3:45 p.m. outdoors.
