Foothills Sheep/Multi 4-H Club members are preparing for the Foothills District Show this spring.

Foothills Sheep/Multi 4-H Club members work on various projects throughout the year.

The Foothills Sheep/Multi 4-H Club started in October with a meeting and elections for positions in the club.

The projects we have in our club are sheep, beef, archery, small engines, rabbit and goat. We discussed the upcoming events.

For district, we had some of our members go to the executive workshop in Blackie.

In November, we had our meeting and a sponsorship workshop. Some of our members went to the District Multi judging; our club supplied the sheep.

In December, our club had a meeting and a speech etiquette workshop. District had a public speaking workshop and curling in Nanton, and our members who went had fun.

District also had the Adopt the Hamper that some of our members attended. It is where the district clubs bring food and presents to give to families in need.

At our last few meetings, we have been discussing the upcoming shows and markets for those members who are selling their projects at the end of the 4-H year.

Our club would like to thank Sunset Drive-In, High River City Classics and Shepard Family Park for including our club in their events to help the club’s fundraising.

We would like to share that the Foothills District Show will be held May 24 to 26 at the High River Ag Society. All the community is welcome to come and enjoy the members showing their projects.

In January and February, our members will be writing their speeches and getting ready for the public speaking competitions.
