Candidates forum planned for Diamond Valley election campaign

Voters will be able to hear from candidates and ask questions during a Diamond Valley election forum on Nov. 14 in Black Diamond.

Turner Valley and Black Diamond will become the Town of Diamond Valley on Jan. 1, 2023.

Members of the public will have a chance to ask questions and meet candidates running for seats on the first-ever Diamond Valley council at an upcoming election forum. 

Hosted by the Diamond Valley Chamber of Commerce, the forum will be held at Oilfields High School on Monday, Nov. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. Past Turner Valley councillor Jamie Wilkie will moderate the event.

Questions can be sent by email in advance, and the forum will be live-streamed. More information is available at diamondvalleychamber.ca/chamber-events

There are two candidates running for mayor, while 11 are seeking councillor seats.

The first-ever Diamond Valley election will be held on Nov. 28, with advance voting on Nov. 21.
