A black bear has been spotted in Turner Valley.
A notice about the bear being seen near the Turner Valley School and Anderson Crescent area was posted to the Town's social media today, Aug. 26.
The notice urges people to exercise caution in the area and says that bears are actively looking for food at this time of year, before winter sets in.
The notice includes several tips people can take to reduce the chances of a bear becoming comfortable in their yard.
The Town urges people to keep barbecues clean, pick fruit or berries from trees, and store garbage bins in areas that wildlife can’t access.
