Town of Diamond Valley: Notice of Public Hearing

Pursuant to section 606 of the Municipal Government
Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26 (“the Act”), a Council
must give notice of certain bylaws, resolutions, meetings,
public hearings or other things.

The purpose of Bylaw 2023-31 is a textual amendment
to Black Diamond Land Use Bylaw by replacing
Section 10.19(5)(f) Lot 29, Block 2, Plan 001 1777
(415 4A Street NW, Diamond Valley) to allow for a
mixed residential/commercial use development.

Council for the Town of Diamond Valley has given first
reading to Bylaw 2023-31 which amends Land Use
Bylaw 2021-06 and will hold a public hearing at a
meeting of Council on Wednesday, January 17, 2024,
at 6:30 pm at the Diamond Valley Council Chambers,
514 Windsor Avenue, Diamond Valley, AB T0L 2A0.

Oral and written comments are invited. Any person,
group of persons, or person acting on behalf of anyone
who claims to be affected by the proposed Bylaw may
make representation.

Any persons providing written submissions at a hearing
must provide a legible or typewritten submission
by 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2024,
for inclusion in the Agenda package. Submissions
may be hand-delivered, mailed, or emailed to
[email protected]. Late submissions will be
presented to Council as part of the public hearing.

Verbal presentations may be made in person or by
joining the meeting online (advance registration is
required for online presentations), whether or not
the presenter has submitted a written presentation.
Such presentations are subject to a five (5) minute
time limit. Presentations supported by printed
documentation must provide ten (10) copies
of the documentation, or one (1) digital copy
provided in advance.

The proposed Bylaw 2023-31 may be inspected on the

Public-Hearings or in the Town Office (301 Centre
Avenue West, upper level) during regular office hours.

Please Note: Any written submissions may be
made public at the public hearing.
