Two men have been charged for trafficking of methamphetamine on Feb. 11 after police investigated reports of drug activity in Eden Valley.

According to a press release sent out on Feb. 14, Turner Valley RCMP made a traffic stop in Eden Valley after receiving tips from the public and executed a search warrant, during which police found narcotics and weapons.

Two men, Alfred Perly Sharp, 56, of Black Diamond, and Patrick Lawrence Lefthand, 50, of Eden Valley Reserve were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Lefthand was also charged with two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, and one count of failing to comply with a condition of a previous release order.

The next court appearance for Sharp and Lefthand is March 10 in Turner Valley Provincial Court.
