High River RCMP is investigating after a reported knife threat.

At around 9 a.m. on Jan. 12, police received a call of two men allegedly threatening a person stopped at a red light with a knife at the intersection of 12 Ave. and 16 St.

According to a press release from High River RCMP, two men described as having darker skin with beards and work clothes with dried paint or drywall ran towards the victim’s vehicle, where one produced a six inch blade from his pocket and held it up to the victim’s open truck window.

It goes on to say the victim had to run a red light to distance himself from the suspects.
