Okotoks RCMP seeking footage of police car ramming

Okotoks RCMP is asking the public for eyewitness accounts and video footage of a patrol car getting rammed Tuesday morning after police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the Okotoks Safeway parking lot between 8 and 8:30 a.m.

 

The suspect vehicle is described as black Land Rover, Alberta licence plate DFA325. The vehicle and licence plate were confirmed stolen.

As an RCMP member approached the black Land Rover on foot, the driver rammed the passenger side of the police car and fled the scene northbound on Northridge Drive. No RCMP members were harmed in the incident.

The Rover has an Alberta licence plate of DFA325. The vehicle and licence plate were confirmed stolen.
