The Western Wheel Parade of Garage Sales is May 18th. To be included come on in and pay your $20 and receive a couple signs for your sale and you will be on the map. Deadline for inclusion is May 8 as it will be featured in the May 15 paper. People love a garage sale plus it is fun to clean out some prize jems that you haven’t used in years.

Thank you Lord for never letting me get involved in Provincial politics. Things like the wildcat strike by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees would put me over the edge. It is so negative and brings bad blood to the surface that takes months and sometimes years to repair. I am sure in the beginning a couple employees had a legitimate complaint and because it was not dealt with properly it has turned into a war of words and now neither side can back down. Number one it should have been dealt with in the first place but an illegal walkout was not the answer either. Why can’t we find a way to bring in a third party soon as the two sides cannot agree and get it resolved. At this point no one will really win. It is now time for the Province to stand up and make the fines for the illegal walkout stick. Please don’t just sweep them under the table in the end and move on. Unions need to know that when they go against the courts they will be fined just like others who break the law. Also any union member who disobeys the back to work order should be fined and their pay deducted while not at work. If not this option just keeps getting replayed.
