Without water there can be no growth and without growth our business community will fail long-term. Tonight the Town of Okotoks is hosting an information session at the Community Centre on Wednesday, April 13.

Robert Sandford, author of “Restoring the flow”, will speak tonight at 7 p.m.

Others will follow in the weeks to come. On April 18 and 25 there will be speakers in council chambers at 7 p.m. It is important we understand where our decisions on water will take us as the mayor has stated several times the final decision will be made in a plebiscite. We want all aspects to be studied including the most obvious one which is a regional solution like we have in the Capital Region around Edmonton. For several decades they have been on the forefront with a cost effective and futuristic system. We look forward to hearing that approach debated as well. This is a crucial period for the future of Okotoks and area.
