I’ve done an updated membership telephone list for VNC. I would appreciate everyone checking their information for accuracy and let me know if there are errors. Marie’s untimely passing has left such a void and the membership chairmanship was one of her responsibilities. We are finding it difficult to fill her shoes.
The long weekend will see Irene, Ernie and I heading to Abbotsford for a Hayward family reunion. Chuck still has two brothers and three sisters from his family of 14, and I’m looking forward to seeing some of them and the rest of my in-laws.
Can you believe we are already into the eight month of 2014? My mother used to tell me not to wish my life away when I would wish that my birthday or Christmas would hurry. I wish I’d listened to her; time certainly seems to go by very quickly.
Join the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Dr. Lander Memorial pool on Aug. 8. There will be an afternoon tea, followed by a 1964-themed pool party with exhibits, cake and fun events for the kids.
