I’m so happy that our two little towns are once more linked. I wonder if our combined tragedies will bring us to a better understanding of how much we really need each other.
The 51st annual Christ Church Millarville flower festival is on this coming weekend. Tea and scones from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and cost is $6. Church service on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. The grounds are lovely so come and enjoy the day.
I attended the Stavely Cowboy Gathering on July 13. Nice to connect with old friends and the performances were outstanding. If you are ever in a position to take in a performance by Jim Beaudoin from Spruce Grove, don’t miss it. He is one fine singer and musician.
Congratulations, once again, to the “Wheel” for its well deserved recognition by the Alberta Weekly Newspaper Association. My favourite editor was duly recognized and the fact that he’s far more handsome than the movie star he could double for is an added bonus. Way to go John.
