Valley Neighbours' Club news

Hopefully, as you read this, at least one of our bridges will be open. I am missing my friends in downtown Turner Valley.

Have you noticed how truly beautiful the wild roses have been, and still are, this season, and also the scarcity of the wild birds when the flood was on. Our wildlife seems to know when there is a disaster, although it didn’t stop the deer from eating all the leaves off my strawberries. I’m hoping for a great crop of saskatoons, they certainly have had lots of water and sunshine.

We really appreciate Donna taking care of the flowers at VNC as Gord and I were hard pressed to make the two hour round trip as often as was necessary.

Ed Uhlen is back home after a lengthy hospital stay and we send our wishes for his continued recovery. Dode is beginning to improve at long last, but I know she would appreciate a visit.

Not much going on at VNC these days. The bridge players are the only diehards. Come join us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1 p.m.
