We had a very good turnout for the garden club meting on April 11. Bob Hovdebo, who was our guest speaker, shared his knowledge on growing potatoes. It is apparent there isn’t much he doesn’t know about the subject. He generously shared his 14 varieties with us, some of which he has developed himself. It was a very interesting afternoon.
I know it’s early, but mark your calendar for July 28 when the garden club will be touring three gardens and having pot luck at Fritz Peyerl’s. More information later, but save the day.
Welcome home to Joyce Baker. Sorry she had to come home from three months in Mexico to a snowstorm, but that’s April in Alberta.

April is daffodil month. Better plan to pick some up at the grocery store, we won’t be picking them in our garden any time soon.
