Come celebrate spring at the Lewis Memorial Church turkey supper in Turner Valley on April 15 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Adults $15, children $6 and preschoolers are free.
Mark your calendars for the Country Lane Quilters show and tea on April 20 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Millarville racetrack hall. Admission is $5.
I had a wonderful Easter, spent Friday with a beloved granddaughter and my sister and brother-in-law, dinner with friends on Saturday and dinner with my sister’s gang on Sunday. It doesn’t get any better than that.
A second reminder about VNC’s annual 80 and over birthday party. There is a sign up sheet on the board or call Carol at 403-933-5155, if you are celebrating an 80, 85, 90 etcetera birthday this year. We would be delighted to have you attend on May 26 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. This might be a good opportunity to remind our members to make your executive aware if you are having a significant anniversary (50, 55, 60 and so on). It is our practice to send flowers to the couple on such an occasion if the two are both VNC members.
Our Easter dinner activities raised more than $1,100 this year. The silent auction was a great success, as was the raffle. Thanks to everyone who came out to help us celebrate.
