My anticipated weekend trip to Lethbridge was cancelled by the ominous weather forecast, and, for once they were right. Our Easter dinner was lovely and the silent auction was huge.

Our Easter dinner was lovely and the silent auction was huge. I don’t know what our profit was, but I’ll let you know when we have a final tally. Pat Thomson won the beautiful garden planter.

Ross Binkley is planning to build us a new bookcase. We are moving the fridge in the games room and the bookcase will go in the northwest corner. Sylvia has been doing such a good job of keeping the books in order, but she is running out of space.

Dode will be back home as you read this. She’s had a long siege. We all hope, at long last, she is on the mend.

Barb Castell is back driving her truck, after months of being chauffeured. Continued good health, Barb.

Six of us attended a bridge tournament at the Friendship Centre in High River last Thursday. None of us brought home a prize, but I must comment on how very nice everyone was and lunch was delicious.

Sheep River Library celebrates 30 years of partnership on Saturday, March 23 from noon to 3 p.m. Come by and check out the essay contest winners, a brand new donor display, speeches, dignitaries and cutting the cake at 1 p.m.
