The warm signs of spring are in the air

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.... Yes, it comes but once a year and still inspires me to stop for a pint and toast the Irish. I was in Arizona recently and must say was surprised to see the amount of events to mark the occasion down there.

Yes, it comes but once a year and still inspires me to stop for a pint and toast the Irish. Daylight Savings, St. Paddy’s and spring all within a week must be a good sign for some wonderful weather just around the corner.

Well, it is a great time for hockey in the Okotoks area. The Oilers start their South Division final this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. The Bisons are also playing their playoff series and were up 1-0 in the series at press time and played last night. We wish both our local teams a great week of playoff hockey. Let’s all try and take in a game or two and cheer our boys on.
