You look at the weather around the world and it always makes me thankful my ancestors picked this part of the country to live in.
We may get too much rain or snow once in a while, but think of all the things we don’t get. We don’t get hurricanes and tornados that can wipe out entire areas. We don’t get tsunami floods that destroy cities, we don’t put up with snakes and killer bugs.
We complain about a little about our weather because that is our nature, but all in all we are very fortunate and I for one try and remember that.

Great news over the weekend! Canada Post strike has been averted — at least for now and it should be business as usual.
The two sides agree that keeping the mail moving is crucial and will continue to work at finding common ground to reach a settlement.

A paraprosdokian is a figure of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected; frequently used in a humorous situation.
For example, “Where there’s a will, I want to be in it,” is a type of paraprosdokian.
