Thank you very much for your generous donations to the 2018 Western Wheel Cares charity fundraiser. We collected donations right up until the ball dropped on New Year’s Eve and together we raised $49,010.80! That amount was divided equally between 10 local charities. This really is a labour of love for us here at the Western Wheel. We absorb all the costs of administering and promoting this fundraising campaign because it is important to us that the local charities receive as much funding as possible. I want to thank all of the Western Wheel staff for going above and beyond again this year to ensure that the fundraising campaign was successful for the charities. Thanks again for your generosity. You may have noticed that I’m a person who always has lots of different things happening in my life and Christmas break is no exception.
Some people say that Christmas is quiet and relaxing, I would describe my Christmas holidays as intense and fun.
Most of our immediate and extended family from my side and my wife’s side all live in Okotoks and area. This results in a flurry of parties and get-togethers over the holidays. I’m no stranger to two turkey suppers in the same day. This year we had six Christmas parties in four days and we hosted three of them.
