Stampede all wrapped up

Not sure the weather could have co-operated much better than it did during the ten days of the Stampede. It started out with a beautiful sunny day for the parade and ended with a week of mud free rodeos.

Not sure the weather could have co-operated much better than it did during the ten days of the Stampede. It started out with a beautiful sunny day for the parade and ended with a week of mud free rodeos. The Rangeland Derby had consistent days of close to record times as the top eight wagons were extremely close in their cumulated times. Jason Glass won the Aggregate for the second year in a row which got him a new truck, $10,000 cash and a beautiful bronze. Congratulations Jason on a fantastic Stampede.

He also finished in third place in the dash for cash which brought him an additional $15,000 on top of his day money of over $30,000. Sounds great but man they work hard for the reward at the end.

This weekend the Chucks will be performing in High River. Head over to their Rodeo grounds to see the same wagons that participated in the Stampede. The only difference is that you are much closer to the action in High River. Should be a great event this weekend.
