Rockley's predictions for 2019

I’m feeling optimistic about my predictions this year. This doesn’t count as one of my top 10 predictions but right off the hop I’m going to predict that I will get more predictions correct this year.

I’m feeling optimistic about my predictions this year.

This doesn’t count as one of my top 10 predictions but right off the hop I’m going to predict that I will get more predictions correct this year. My predictions for 2019:

  1. The United Conservative Party will win the Alberta general election. Strong support from rural Alberta and Calgary will propel the UCP to majority government status. This election is scheduled to take place on or before May 31.
  2. The Alberta general election will take place on May 13 by the current NDP government.
  3. The Okotoks Dawgs will win the Western Canadian Baseball League Championship.
  4. Alberta will experience increased tourist traffic from south of the border. This will be driven by the Canadian dollar exchange rate remaining lower than average throughout 2019.
  5. Attendance at the Calgary Stampede will exceed the existing attendance record by at least 5 per cent.
  6. The Liberal Party will win the federal election on October 21. Strong support from all provinces east of Saskatchewan will sail them to forming a majority government.
  7. The federal Conservative Party will retain official opposition party status.
  8. The Calgary Flames will make it to the second round of playoffs.
  9. The Mueller investigation will not result in a criminal conviction or impeachment of President of the USA, Donald Trump.
  10. The number of new house construction starts in Okotoks will exceed the 2018 residential construction activity by at least 15 per cent.
