Our annual Thanksgiving pot luck and silent auction will be on October 5 at 5 p.m. If you have any items for the silent auction, please drop them off any time the building is open. There is a sign up sheet on the board where you may specify what you would like to share for the pot luck.
We have a couple of boxes of lost and found (mostly jackets, hats, sweaters etc). Please stop by and perhaps you will find the item you thought you might never see again. We’ll keep them for a month or so and, whatever is left, will be recycled to a good cause.
Check out the fall programs at our library. Afternoon tea with the Duchess on Oct. 19 sounds elegant. This could be very popular, so pick up your free ticket after Sept. 15.
The best little newspaper in Alberta was full of great stuff last week. The Big Rock article was something we can all relate to and a cause worth supporting. Dig last week’s Wheel out of the recycling if you missed it.
