If you are a star gazer, watch for a striking triangular pattern when the crescent moon will join Mars and Saturn at dusk on Aug. 31. All three will fit into a binocular field of view. Let’s hope for a clear sky.
Just a reminder about the general meeting on Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. and floor curling starts on September 8 at 9:30 a.m. Whist and bingo will be starting again in September. I’ll give you dates as soon as I know.

What a day of continuous entertainment, culminating with an hour of the amazing talent of Ed Peekeekoot. Google him, you won’t believe what that man can do with a musical instrument.
Check out the fall programs at the Sheep River Library. They will be starting their classic movie matinees on Monday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m., with “Strangers on a Train.”
