News from the Valley Neighbours Club

I got caught in that intense hailstorm last week and I have never been so terrified behind the wheel of my car. It was like driving on marbles. What a strange storm that devastated Black Diamond and didn’t touch Turner Valley.

I got caught in that intense hailstorm last week and I have never been so terrified behind the wheel of my car. It was like driving on marbles. What a strange storm that devastated Black Diamond and didn’t touch Turner Valley. The flowers at my house were spared and, surprisingly enough, my vegetable garden a half mile away and right in the eye of the storm didn’t suffer very much damage either.

Come by and see what you think.

Sheldon Kennedy is one of eight distinguished Albertans who will receive the Alberta Order of Excellence in October. I can’t think of anyone more deserving.

We attended the Blackie parade and pancake breakfast on Canada Day, then to George Lane Park for birthday cake and on to the festivities at the Bar U. A full day but so much fun.
