April will be a busy month for the Griffiths Center. Dessert and games night is April 12 at 7 p.m., April 19 is the general membership meeting and April 21 is the ham dinner at 5:30 p.m.

Breakfast at the Griffith center has become a very popular event as well.

As of April 1, with some exceptions, the province will no longer mail out reminders for license plates and driver’s licenses.

You must sign up and receive them electronically, the March 30 edition of the Wheel had a timely explanation of what is in store.

It is reported, this move will save Albertan’s millions.

Seniors over 70 will still receive mailed reminders until April 2017.

Mark your calendar for games night at the Millarville race track on April 9. It is usually dominoes and starts at 7 p.m.

Also, Lewis Memorial will hold a ham dinner on April 11. The cost is $15.00 for adults, $6.00 for kids and preschoolers are free.

The swans are back on the Fordville Lakes.

They showed up for Easter Sunday even though the ice wasn’t completely cleared.
