Our annual meeting went very well. We have a new president and vice-president -Ross Binkley and Kevin Pearson. The remainder of the executive remain virtually the same. We will miss Philip’s calm demeanor, but as past president his expertise will be readily accessible. The standing committees have changed marginally, but I’m sure it will be a smooth transition. The yearly schedule of events has been drawn up and will be posted on the board.

Our trophy cabinet has been installed, but the glass doors are still in transit so we can’t put items on display until they’re in place.

Lewis Memorial will host its annual pancake supper on Feb. 9 at 5 p.m.

Plan to get your tickets for Paul Rumbolt’s concert soon as I’m sure it will sell out. It will be held at Lewis Memorial on Feb. 23.

Cyark was founded in 2003 to ensure heritage sites are available to future generations. It will be interesting to see what changes may occur due to this recognition.

We only had two-and-a-half tables of duplicate on Saturday. We missed Steve, but Helen did a great job and we thank her for stepping in to help out. Lynne will be home soon. We look forward to her rejoining us. Don’t let what you heard about this game intimidate you. Take it from me, if you are a bridge player, you would love duplicate.
